The project required the safe removal and licensed disposal of over 4,000m2 of legacy asbestos roofing and wall cladding under strict WorkSafe and EPA protocols, followed by the supply and installation of new industrial roofing with high-grade insulation and anti-corrosive components rated for heavy chemical environments. All external walls were replaced with compliant, fire-rated cladding.
Works were completed entirely at height using EWPs, scaffolding, and engineered edge protection systems on a shed with steep pitch and extreme height — while heavy vehicle movements and product loading continued below. FMR implemented rotating exclusion zones, traffic management plans, and multi-tiered communications to ensure zero impact to refinery operations.
